Atelier Forma is an architecture practice dedicated to clarity, restraint, and precision. Our work begins with context — the landscape, the city, the material at hand — and develops through a process of reduction, distillation, and refinement. Each project seeks equilibrium between function and atmosphere, delivering spaces that feel inevitable, yet quietly surprising.

Our philosophy

Our approach

We work across scales: from private dwellings to cultural landmarks, from interiors to public infrastructure. What unites our projects is a pursuit of proportion and permanence, informed by careful research and dialogue with clients and collaborators.

Team + founder

Led by architects and designers with international experience, Atelier Forma combines technical expertise with cultural literacy. Our team draws on backgrounds in architecture, urbanism, and design theory, enabling us to navigate complex briefs with clarity and conviction.

Atelier Forma was established by Dr. Elena Marković, an architect educated at the University of Belgrade and the Architectural Association in London.

Prior to founding the practice, she worked with internationally acclaimed studios in Vienna and Basel, contributing to large-scale cultural and civic projects.

Her approach is informed by a dual commitment to rigorous technical execution and a refined sense of spatial atmosphere.

Press + recognition

“There is a discipline to their architecture that resists spectacle. Instead, it rewards attention, offering clarity and resonance in equal measure.”
Journal of Contemporary Architecture

“Few practices balance material honesty with such refined restraint. Atelier Forma’s work is rigorous, yet it leaves room for silence.”
Architectural Review Quarterly

“The projects feel less like impositions on a site and more like continuations of it — as if the ground itself had shaped the form.”
